6300 Series Ion Trap LC/MS
Introducing the new 6340 Ion Trap LC/MS with electron transfer
dissociation
The Agilent 6340 Ion Trap LC/MS is a new high-performance ion trap
mass spectrometer with factory installed electron transfer
dissociation (ETD). ETD is a powerful fragmentation technique that
preserves labile analytes and can be implemented on a
chromatographic time scale, making it an ideal tool for studying
protein phosphorylation.
In addition to the 6340 Trap, Agilent offers an entire family of ion
trap LC/MS systems to meet the widest range of budget and
performance requirements:
- 6310 Ion Trap LC/MS – makes advanced capabilities such
as fast polarity switching and automated, data-dependent MSn
economical for every lab
- 6320 Ion Trap LC/MS – provides even greater sensivity,
mass resolution, and scan speed
- 6330 Ion Trap LC/MS – features a maximum scan speed
that can increase the number of peptides detected in proteolytic
digests by up to 80 percent
Features
- State-of-the-art performance and reliability – The 6300
Series ion traps offer outstanding combinations of scan speed,
mass resolution, mass range, and sensitivity, with Agilent's
legendary reliability
- A wide range of ionization choices – The 6300 Series
ion traps can be equipped with the widest range of LC/MS ion
sources available, for the analysis of everything from
environmental toxins to metabolites to low-abundance peptides and
proteins
- Intelligent, data-dependent acquisition – Ensures fast,
efficient collection of the highest quality, most useful data
- Application-specific software tools – Increase
productivity for every type of data analysis from quantitation to
protein database searching
